She is the new princess of Bollywood. She has been appreciated as the
most promising new-comer of silver screen. One of the most
enchanting faces of dream world - she is on her way to make it
big.
An average teen coming from a middle class saraswat brahmin family,
Ms. Amrita Rao, got a chance to audition for 'Fairever face cream'
during her graduation. With her pretty looks no wonder she has been immediately
selected among more than 60 beautiful girls. And in the next months
followed she becomes the girl behind the start of a refreshing day
with 'Close-up' and 'Bru'. With about 25 ads in her arsenal she was
'the teen queen' of the ad world.
A girl with such beauty, innocence and freshness could never get
unnoticed and it happened with Ms. Amrita too. After seeing her in
great commercials like - Close-up, Perk and Bru, many a director
contacted her to work in their movies - but unlike other models who
could never wait to jump to big screen and leave their education
mid-way, she nicely rejected the offers to first concentrate on
her education. After being graduated in psychology she planned a
career in commercial arts. But at that time she got an impressive
contract with 'Tips', followed by Raj Kanwar to join the movies and
she could not refuse it.
Tips was supposed to launch her with 'Ishq Vishk', but due to some
delay 'Ab Ke Baras' came first. Though 'Ab Ke Baras' was a failure in
Box-office, Amrita emerged as a winner - with her beauty, charm,
acting and dancing abilities. She further showed what she is capable
of in a very brief role by delivering the performance of utmost
appreciation in 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh'. Then came the
heart stealer - 'Ishq Vishk' and she is now being crowned as 'The new
superstar of the future' with millions of fans and admirers just dying
to see her. The role of Payal has given her the name she is really
worthy of. This was the most astonishing performance given by a new
comer in a long long time.
With some mega movies coming up like - Farah Khan's 'Main Hoon Na',
Gaurang Doshi's 'Deewar' and Indra Kumar's 'Masti', it seems that she
will go far beyong 'Ishq Vishk' and would come as one of the selling
name of Big Celluloid Screen.
idreamofamrita wishes her the best of luck and hopes that she will
keep up and even improve upon the fascinating success of 'Ishq Vishk'
